List of the three provinces allowed to convert some agricultural land to urban development

 Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has just approved the change of land use purpose in Can Tho city, Hoa Binh province and Hung Yen province.

Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister approved the People's Committee of Can Tho City to decide to change the use purpose of 24.82 hectares of rice land to non-agricultural land to implement the Nam Long 2 residential area project.

The People's Committee of Hoa Binh province is allowed to change the use purpose of 43.98 hectares of rice land to non-agricultural land to implement the Trung Minh A new urban area project.

In the meantime, the Deputy Prime Minister approved the People's Committee of Hung Yen province to change the purpose of using 65 hectares of rice land to non-agricultural land to implement the project of industrial cluster Pham Ngu Lao - Nghia Dan.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of the provinces to direct the implementation of the change of the above-mentioned rice land use purposes in accordance with the provisions of the land law and other relevant laws; take full responsibility before the law and the Prime Minister for the decision on project implementation and the organization of project implementation in accordance with the land law.

In addition, implementing the allocation of land, giving land tax, auctioning land use rights in accordance with the provisions of the law, implementing the project to ensure the right competence, strictly and fully complying with the provisions of the land laws as well as other relevant laws and opinions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is assigned to monitor and guide the implementation of the change of the above mentioned rice land use purpose in accordance with the provisions of law.
